TIFFIN OH CROP WALK Helping Small Seeds Yield a Rich Harvest

Want to end hunger, here and abroad? Looking for a mission opportunity and love-of-neighbor? The CROP Hunger Walk is coming to Tiffin. Sunday, November 6, 1:00 PM, we gather at First Presbyterian Church, 96 South Monroe Street [ Google Map ]. We walk at 1:30 PM.

Since 1969, millions of walkers have given their time and strength to feed God's people. Through Church World Service, refugees get bags of rice, villages with muddy ponds get new water wells, and hunger is prevented with better livestock, tree plantings and other improved practices. Also, know that your donors can direct their dollars to their favorite charity, including: the United Methodist Committee on Relief, Lutheran World Relief, Catholic Relief Services or the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee.

We walk around the center of Tiffin, encompassing several churches and both universities. The enthusiastic walkers, the signs and the smiles remind the community of our faith, and our belief, in a world without hunger.

The Tiffin CROP Walk is coordinated by local area churches and churches love the hum of a sanctuary filled with CROP walkers. In that vein, walkers, who will need a pledge envelope, need to contact and walk with a participating local church or university. Pick one of the following and contact hem.

I have been walking about a decade. My husband Bill has been CROP Walking for at least 25 years. The CROP Walk is 5 kilometers, just over 3 miles. And remember, 25% of every CROP donation stays in Tiffin, with our local hunger organizations. Hope YOU will walk with us. Blessings. Rev. Pam Easterday.
